Capture, find and export your leads
The capture moment
The visitor answers the questions, then enters their email to see their result. That is when they have a real reason to give it: they have already invested two minutes, and what they want is on the other side.
You can also ask for first name, last name, phone, country, and your own fields (their business or budget, for instance). Every extra field loses people: only ask for what you will actually use. The first name is often worth it, since it lets you write {name} in your result texts.
Where to find your leads
- My leads (left menu): all your leads, across all projects. Search by email, first name or last name, and filter by quiz. For each contact: email, name, quiz, result obtained, tag, sending status to your tool and date. At the top, four counters: total, synced, not synced, and this month.
- A quiz's Results tab: the leads and stats of that quiz only.
Two exports, two uses
From a quiz, Results tab, Export CSV button. One row per person, and one column per question with their answer (choices, free text, scale ratings and stars, as on screen). The file also holds email, first name, last name, result, date as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM, phone and country when you collect them, scores on a scored quiz, the tag applied and your custom fields. This is the export for preparing a call: you know what the person answered before you speak to them.
From My leads, Export CSV button. All leads from all quizzes, without per-question columns. This is the export for importing your list into another tool.
Accents display correctly in Excel. If you use no connected tool, the tag column stays empty and everything else works normally.
Sending to your tool
When a tool is connected (Settings > Connections), each new lead goes on its own to the destination chosen for its quiz: the contact is created or updated, the result tag is applied, your custom fields are filled in. Details are in the connections article.
The Sync column in My leads shows where each lead stands. A green tick: it went through. An orange triangle: the contact arrived, but some custom fields could not be written (hover for the reason).
To send leads again:
- Sync (or Send again if it already went), on a lead's row: resends that lead only.
- Sync all, at the top of My leads: resends all your visible leads to the tool linked to each quiz, with their tags, and shows the progress. An existing contact is updated, never duplicated. Use it after a failed send or a change of tool.
One caution: if an automation in your tool starts on "tag added", it will fire for contacts who receive a tag they did not have yet.
On the free plan
The free plan shows 10 leads per rolling 30-day period. Responses are not capped: beyond 10, each lead is saved, but it appears blurred and is not sent to your tool.
As soon as your account moves to a paid plan, those leads become visible and go to your tool on their own, each with its tags. Nothing to do, and no lead is lost. CSV export of visible leads also works on free.
Your leads' data
Your leads' data travels over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted in the database. Each account can only read its own data: nobody else reaches it through Tiquiz. You remain responsible for what you do with it: set your privacy policy address in Settings > General (it applies to all your quizzes, and each quiz can have its own). It shows under the capture form.
