Surveys
A survey is for listening
A quiz gives a result to the person answering. A survey gives them nothing: you are the one collecting answers. A survey is created from Create a survey in the left menu, and sits with your quizzes in My projects.
Use a survey to find out what your audience actually wants, test an offer idea, or understand why someone didn't buy.
Creating one
Three ways, same as a quiz:
- By hand, question by question.
- With AI: describe your target and what you want to learn, it writes the questions.
- By importing a document you already wrote (.txt, .docx or .pdf).
The more precise your target ("clients who bought course X in the last 6 months" rather than "my audience"), the better the questions.
Question types
Beyond multiple choice, a survey can ask for:
- free text: they write whatever they want;
- a scale (1 to 10, for instance);
- stars.
Those three have no options to tick, and that is normal.
Reading the answers
The Responses tab gives you, per question: the count per option, the full list of free-text answers (with a copy-all button), and the spread of ratings with their average for scales.
Free text is often the most useful part: those are your customers' exact words, the ones you can lift straight into your sales page.
To keep or share the results, the same tab offers an export: CSV or Excel (one row per person), summary PDF (the aggregated report, without respondents) or detailed PDF (with each respondent). On PLUS plans, AI analysis sums up what your answers really say and the actions to take.
What works exactly like a quiz
Email capture, sending to your tool (Systeme.io, GoHighLevel or webhook) with its tags, the Automate tab, your branding, your custom domain, drop-off tracking: all identical.
