Connect Tiquiz to Systeme.io
Systeme.io organizes your contacts by tags, and its automation rules start when a tag is added. A Tiquiz quiz produces exactly what it needs: an email address, and a tag that says which result the person got.
The step people forget happens in Systeme.io: adding a tag triggers nothing on its own. So this guide goes all the way to the rule that sends the email, then to the test that proves everything works.
The guide, step by step
Nine steps, in the order you do them. Each one says which product you are in: Tiquiz, or your Systeme.io account.
Step 1 : Copy your Systeme.io API key
In Systeme.ioIn your Systeme.io account, open your Settings, then Public API keys, and copy your key. It gives access to your contacts: only paste it into a tool you trust.

Step 2 : Open the Systeme.io card in Tiquiz
In TiquizGo to Settings, Connections tab. On the Systeme.io card, click Connect (the button turns into Manage once a key is saved). A window opens: click Add a key.

Step 3 : Paste the key and save it
In TiquizGive the key a name in Name (memo), for example My account, paste it into API key, then click Add. Tiquiz checks the key with Systeme.io before saving it: you should read "Key added and validated". A rejected key is not saved, and the message says why.
The key shows up in the list with a green shield. It is stored encrypted, and Tiquiz only shows its last four characters. Your first key becomes your project's default key.

Step 4 : Pick the quiz destination
In TiquizOpen the quiz, Create tab, left column, "Quiz management" group: Where this quiz's leads go. Pick your Systeme.io key, or leave it on Automatic: the quiz then follows your project's default destination, the one shown in the "Where your leads go" menu of the Connections tab.

Step 5 : Pick a tag for each result
In TiquizStill in the Create tab, open each result. Below its text, the field Tag to apply to people who got this result lists the tags of your Systeme.io account: pick one, or click + to type a new tag. It works for a profile quiz and for a scored quiz.
A scored quiz can also apply tags per score range: the Tags per score range option adds tags like score-bas or visibilite-elevee to the contact. A survey can apply one tag to everyone who answers, or one tag per chosen answer, and a share bonus applies its own tag to the people who share.

Step 6 : Run a first test
In Systeme.ioOpen your quiz from its public link (the editor preview saves no leads) and go through to the end with a test address. In Systeme.io, the contact shows up with the tag of their result.
If that tag did not exist in your account yet, it has just been created. That is why this test comes before the rule: a brand-new tag can only be picked in a Systeme.io rule once it exists.

Step 7 : Copy the list of your tags
In TiquizThe Automate tab of the editor lists, for this quiz, the exact tags that will be sent to Systeme.io, grouped by use (results, score ranges, survey answers, share bonus), and the recipe to repeat for each. One click on a tag copies it: names must match exactly, character for character.

Step 8 : Create one rule per tag
In Systeme.ioThe Open my Systeme.io automations button in the Automate tab opens the rules page of your account (Automations > Rules). Click Create. Trigger:
Tag added, then pick the tag. Action:Subscribe to campaign, then pick your campaign (or "Send an email" if you don't have a campaign). For the share bonus tag, pick theSend an emailaction instead: the one that delivers your bonus.Repeat for each tag in the list. A result without a rule gets its tag, and nothing else.
If you linked a Systeme.io course or community to a result, do not create a rule to open it: Tiquiz grants access on its own, and one more rule would open it twice.

Step 9 : Check that the rule fires
In Systeme.ioTake the quiz again with a new test address. In Systeme.io, the contact gets their tag, and the rule subscribes them to the chosen campaign.
With an address that is already known, Tiquiz finds the contact instead of creating a second one, and adds the new tag to the ones it already has.

What is sent to Systeme.io
For each captured lead, in this order:
- The contact: email, first name, last name, phone and country when the quiz asks for them. Tiquiz looks the contact up by email: if it already exists, it is updated, never duplicated.
- The tags: the one of the result, those of survey answers, those of the score if you enabled them, and the share tag when the person shares. A tag missing from your account is created. They are added to the contact's tags, without removing the others.
- The result, in plain words, in the contact field whose identifier is
tiquiz_result. Tiquiz does not create that field: if it does not exist in your account, Systeme.io does not keep the value. The tag is always sent. - Your custom fields from the capture form, each one in a contact field named after its label, created if missing. Renaming a field in the editor renames the field in Systeme.io: its values stay.
- Access to a course or a community, if you linked one to the result: Tiquiz enrolls the contact.
One account, or several
One key is for ONE Systeme.io account. If you work for clients, add each client's key, then pick, quiz by quiz, which account the leads go to: each client's quiz fills THEIR list. Each key counts as one connection, along with GoHighLevel sub-accounts and webhooks: 1 on the free plan, 2 on the subscription, as many as you want on PLUS. The star next to a key makes it the project's default key.
Pausing, and being warned
Each key has its own Sync on switch: paused, nothing is sent to that key anymore, and quizzes keep their setting. If Systeme.io rejects the key (deleted or regenerated in your account), the card shows Disconnected and you get one email, once. Leads captured in the meantime stay in Tiquiz: once a valid key is pasted in the Connections tab, resend them with Sync all in My leads.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need Zapier, Make or Pabbly to connect Tiquiz to Systeme.io?
- No. Tiquiz talks directly to the Systeme.io API with your key, no middleman and no extra subscription.
- Do I have to create the tags by hand in Systeme.io?
- No. A tag you confirm in Tiquiz is created right away in your Systeme.io account: you can pick it in a rule before the first lead. The Automate tab shows, tag by tag, whether it is ready in Systeme.io. If creation failed, the tag is created with the first lead that should get it.
- My contacts get their tag but receive no email. Why?
- Because adding a tag triggers nothing on its own in Systeme.io. You need a rule with the Tag added trigger for that exact tag. The Automate tab of your quiz lists the tags involved and the steps to follow.
- Are the contact's existing tags erased?
- No. Tiquiz adds its tags to the contact one by one, without touching the others. A contact who takes a second quiz keeps the tags from the first one.
- Can I connect several Systeme.io accounts?
- Yes. Each key counts as one connection, like a GoHighLevel sub-account or a webhook: 1 on the free plan, 2 on the subscription, as many as you want on PLUS. With several keys, each quiz picks its own in Where this quiz's leads go.
- Can one quiz send its leads to both Systeme.io and GoHighLevel?
- No, a quiz has a single destination. Two quizzes, or a copy of the same quiz, can target two different destinations.
- What happens if I regenerate my API key in Systeme.io?
- The old key is rejected: the Systeme.io card shows Disconnected, you get one email, once, and nothing is sent to that key. Paste the new key in Settings, Connections tab, then resend the leads captured in the meantime with Sync all in My leads.
- In which language do the tags arrive?
- In the one you wrote them in. Tiquiz neither invents nor translates any tag: what you pick on the result is what Systeme.io receives.
